Security Deposit Assistance Available

If you are 62 years of age or older, you are only required to submit one month's rent as a security deposit, in compliance with Connecticut State Law (Statute § 47a-21).
Before visiting local offices, you must call 2-1-1 (Option 3, then 1) to register with the Coordinated Access Network. Most state-funded deposit programs require this registration to proceed.
Security Deposit Guarantee Program (SDGP)
The primary state program providing a written guarantee to landlords for the full 2-month deposit. Acts as insurance for the landlord in place of cash.
SSVF — Veterans Housing Assistance
The SSVF program can pay 100% of the security deposit (up to 2 months) directly to the landlord for eligible veterans.
